for interview participants

You opened a Proust interviewer and talked with an AI — here’s exactly what happens with that conversation.

what just happened?

A business you visited invited you to a short conversation with Proust, their AI interviewer — about five minutes, spoken or typed, usually with a reward at the end. The interviewer says what it is: an AI, working for that business.

is my voice recorded?

No. Your conversation is transcribed live — the audio is never stored, by us or by our voice provider. What exists afterward is the written transcript. We never use your voice to identify you, and we never use your conversations to train AI models.

why do you need my location?

Some businesses reward people who are actually at their venue, so we check your location once, when you start, against that venue. We keep only the yes/no result — never your coordinates — and we never access location again after that moment (the browser gives us one reading; there is no background access). Interviews that don’t verify presence never ask for location at all.

who sees what i say?

The team at the business you visited reads the conversation — that’s the point, it helps them fix what you told them about. They see your words, never your name, email, phone number, or payout details. Say only what you’re comfortable with; skip anything; stop anytime.

what do you do with my contact info?

If you claim a cash reward, we ask for an email or phone number — that’s used to pay you and to keep rewards one-per-person, nothing else. It is never shared with the business, never sold, and de-linked from your interview within 12 months of your last payout.

will i hear from other businesses?

Only if you ask to. When you claim a reward you can opt into hearing about future paid interviews from other businesses. It’s off by default, a separate choice with its own short agreement, and you can withdraw it anytime.

how do i delete my data?

Email privacy@proust.dev from the address you used to claim a reward (or describe the interview — venue and rough time) and we’ll delete your data within 45 days. No account needed, no questions asked.

who is proust?

Proust runs point-of-experience interviews for businesses — the full detail, including every service we run on, is at Your data & privacy.
